About the program

The Louisiana Homeowner Assistance Fund program is a free, federally funded financial relief program which provides up to $25,000 in aid to homeowners financially impacted by COVID-19.

The program will initially focus on loans in forbearance, loans not in forbearance but delinquent, and loans in foreclosure. The program is funded through the U.S. Dept. of Treasury and administered by the Louisiana Office of Community Development.

Pilot program participation

Participation in the pilot program is based on eligibility and completely voluntary. Homeowners who don’t participate in the pilot may apply when the full program officially launches in the coming weeks.
